experienced researchers/engineers and they are engaged in activities as applied research, system
design and standardization for telecommunication systems & enabling technologies.
The optical technology department of HWDU is doing research on optical high speed transport
technologies, optical switching, optical control plane, software defined networks and intelligent
networks, etc. HWDU was one of the collaborating Institutes of FP6 NoE e-Photon/One+, and was
partner of FP7 STREP DICONET and CHRON projects, and FP7 NoE BONE and TREND
projects.
